Schlotterbeck Named Player of the Week
Muhlenberg senior Evan Schlotterbeck was named Centennial Conference men's soccer defensive player of the week.
Schlotterbeck kept the back line well organized in the Mules' 4-0 shutout of McDaniel in the final game of the regular season. Muhlenberg allowed only five shots, and only two on goal, in the win, which clinched the third seed in the CC playoffs. The Mules also conceded only one corner kick, and that came in the first minute of the game.
Schlotterbeck has played every minute of Muhlenberg's current streak of 290 consecutive scoreless minutes; during that time the Mules have allowed only six shots on goal.
The win earned Muhlenberg a rematch against sixth-seeded McDaniel in the first round of the CC playoffs. If the Mules win, they will travel to second-seeded Franklin & Marshall for a semifinal game on Friday.
