Field Hockey Ends Season with Win
The Muhlenberg field hockey team ended its 2024 season on a positive note, defeating Dickinson 3-1 on Senior Day.
Prior to the game, the Mules honored their five seniors - Erin Jackson, Natasha Furyk, Devon Eastlack, Mikayla DeMichele and Grace Leard (pictured above with their families).
Sophomore MJ Callahan opened the scoring late in the first quarter by putting in a rebound of her own saved shot for her first goal of the season.
The Mules (7-10) added a big second goal just before halftime when Jackson assisted junior Erin DiSandro with just 2 seconds showing on the clock.
Dickinson cut the gap in half early in the fourth quarter, but Muhlenberg clinched the game off a penalty corner with 2:20 remaining when junior Abba Diglio put in a rebound.
Diglio's 30th career goal put her into a tie for seventh place on the Mules' all-time list with 72 career points. She and DiSandro tied for the team lead in goals with 11 each.
