Women's Soccer Begins Tough Stretch
The Muhlenberg women's soccer team began a challenging stretch of games with a 7-0 loss to Rowan.
Despite being on defense most of the time, the Mules kept the Profs off the scoreboard for the first 28 minutes of the game. Rowan finally broke the ice on a penalty kick and added two more goals in the first half and four in the first 18 minutes of the second half.
Sophomore Megan Stairs, who entered the game ranked 24th in Division III in saves per game, tied her career high with 13 saves in 58 minutes. Senior Grace Hoffman finished up the game and recorded 3 saves.
The Profs came into the game ranked fifth in Region IV and receiving votes in the Division III national poll. Muhlenberg's next three opponents - Johns Hopkins, Swarthmore and Dickinson - are ranked first, fourth and sixth, respectively, in Region V.
