Richwine Named Athlete of the Week

Muhlenberg sophomore Maya Richwine was named Centennial Conference women's track athlete of the week.

Muhlenberg sophomore Maya Richwine was named Centennial Conference women's track athlete of the week.

Richwine posted two times that are second-best in the Centennial Conference this season at the Fastrack National Invite. She ran a qualifying time of 9.10 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, just a hundredth of a second off the top clocking in the CC. Richwine was the only Division III runner to qualify for the final, where she placed seventh. Her time is the best so far this season in the Metro Region and ranks 34th on the Division III performance list.

In the 200 meters, she won her heat with a time of 26.35, which is .24 seconds off the top mark in the CC and .12 seconds off the 17-year-old school record. She placed fifth among Division III runners.

The weekly honor is the first for Richwine, who was an All-Metro Region selection both indoors and outdoors and a five-time CC placewinner last year.
