Steiner Named Player of the Week
For the first time in her career, Muhlenberg senior Nicole Steiner was named Centennial Conference women's lacrosse offensive player of the week.
Steiner scored 11 goals and added one assist in a 2-0 week for the Mules. She notched three goals and an assist in a 12-11 win against Misericordia, putting in what proved to be the game-winner with 5:54 left in the fourth quarter. Steiner then exploded for a career-high eight goals in a 22-14 win against Drew, becoming the 10th Muhlenberg player to score as many as 8 goals in a game, and then first since 2018.
An All-CC first-team selection last year, Steiner leads the CC in both goals per game and points per game, with 20 points on 17 goals and 3 assists through three games. She is the only CC player so far this season to record 8 points in a game, and she's done it twice.
Steiner ranks 14th in program history with 116 career goals.
