For the second time in her career, Muhlenberg senior Alyssa Faville was named Centennial Conference volleyball defensive player of the week.

Faville averaged 7.42 digs per set in a 2-1 week for the Mules, with the loss coming to top-ranked Juniata. Faville topped the 30-dig mark twice, with 31 in a four-set win at Drew and 34 in a five-set defeat of John Carroll. She also had 10 assists vs. John Carroll for her first career double-double.

Faville recorded 24 digs, tying her career high for a three-set match, in the Juniata match. She added four aces, including the 100th of her career, in the three matches.

The 89 digs last week moved FavilleĀ into the top 10 on the Mules' all-time list; she now ranks eighth with 1,229 for her career and is 10th in Division III with her season average of 5.88 digs per set.

The two wins gave the Muhlenberg a record of 10-4 heading into CC play and double digits in victories for the 12th straight season and the 31st time in the last 32 seasons. Muhlenberg's four losses have come to four teams - Mary Washington, Eastern, Stevenson and Juniata - who earned bids to the NCAA Tournament last year.
