Four Named All-Region in Men's Soccer
Four Muhlenberg players earned spots on the United Soccer Coaches Men's All-Region V team.
A pair of backs, sophomore Sam Roberts and senior Evan Schlotterbeck, led the way as second-team selections. Senior midfielder Kevin Adams made the third team, while junior forward Sim Dorsey was named to the fourth team.
This is the second straight season that the Mules have landed four all-region picks. The last time they had more was 2014.
Roberts, a third-team selection last year, is the first Muhlenberg player to make all-region as a freshman and sophomore since 1986-87. He was one of only three sophomores named to the All-Region V first or second team. An All-Centennial Conference first-team honoree for the second straight season, Roberts was a standout on a defense that allowed only 18 goals in 22 games, with 11 shutouts. His long throws and presence in the box on set pieces also enabled him to rank third on the team with 10 points. He's the first Muhlenberg back to reach double digits in points since 2014.
Schlotterbeck earned all-region recognition and made the All-CC team for the first time as a senior. A team co-captain, he started every game at center back for a defense that allowed more than one goal only five times. Schlotterbeck, the CC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, also was the Mules' leading scorer in CC games with 7 points on 2 goals and 3 assists.
In his third season on the All-CC team, Adams earned his first all-region nod. The Mules' co-captain led the team in goals with 5 and was second on the squad with 13 points.
Dorsey made an impact in his first season with the Mules, leading the team with 15 points on 4 goals and 7 assists (tied for second in the CC). He recorded a goal and an assist in Muhlenberg's 2-1 CC semifinal win at Franklin & Marshall.
Muhlenberg finished the 2024 season with a 12-4-6 record, advancing to the CC championship game for the third straight year and earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
