The Muhlenberg cross country teams started their 2024 season at the Lehigh Invitational.
Both teams ran shorthanded, with several athletes unable to compete, which opened the door for other runners to pace the Mules.
For the men, junior Andrew Smolowitz (pictured above left) was the first Muhlenberg runner across the finish line for the first time in his career. Sophomore TJ Cook Jr. was second in his debut as a Mule, while seniors Hayden Klein and Ethan Yazdanyar joined classmate Mason Tran in the top five.
Sophomore Ella Borello (pictured above right), who missed all of the 2024 season with injury, came in first for the women in her collegiate debut. Sophomores Maggie Holderith and Ava Lundy and seniors Lauren House and Ellen Maguire rounded out Muhlenberg's top five.
