The Muhlenberg women's soccer team could not erase a two-goal deficit and fell at DeSales, 3-1.
The Bulldogs (2-3) scored early in the second half to take a 2-0 lead, but the Mules cut the gap in half when sophomore Ivy Dias beat two DeSales players to run onto a long ball from freshman Sydney McManus and shot inside the far post from about 20 yards out. It was the second goal of the season for Dias (pictured above).
Muhlenberg was within a goal for the next 20 minutes before DeSales netted a clinching insurance goal in the final six minutes.
Junior Dani Klingener, making her first career start, recorded 8 saves, including one on a breakaway with about 10 minutes remaining.
