The Muhlenberg cross country teams have chosen two senior captains for the 2024 season.

Markus Vottero will captain the men's team. He missed the 2023 season while studying abroad but was one of the Mules' top runners in each of his first two seasons. In 2022, Vottero finished as Muhlenberg's first or second runner in every race, and he was the team's top finisher at the NCAA Metro Regional. He ran in the Mules' top three his entire freshman season, running his two best 8K times at the Centennial Conference and regional meets.

Lauren House is a captain of the women's team for the second consecutive year. A four-year team member, she was the Mules' third runner in five of seven meets last fall, improving her finish at the CC Championships for the second straight year. House ran in Muhlenberg's top three for the entire 2022 season, when she was the team's second finisher at the NCAA Metro Regional. She was named to both the CC Academic Honor Roll and the CC Sportsmanship Team last year.

The Mules are scheduled to open their season at the Lehigh Invitational on Friday, August 30.
