Women's Basketball Streak Snapped
The Muhlenberg women's basketball team had its three-game winning streak snapped with a 69-41 home loss to Dickinson.
The Mules (14-6, 5-5) led 5-4 three minutes into the game but made only two field goals against the press of the Red Devils (11-10, 5-5) the rest of the quarter.
Dickinson led by 19 points early in the third quarter before Muhlenberg, coming off big comeback wins at Haverford and Swarthmore, looked to rally again. The Mules held the Red Devils without a field goal for more than five minutes and were within 15 before a quick 12-0 run slammed the door.
Sophomore Lyndsey Costigan rebounded in double figures for the third time this season, pulling down 10, and added 7 points. Freshman Veronica Dawson also scored 10 points.
