Seniors Stand Out for Men's Golf

The Muhlenberg men's golf team entered two teams and finished tied for third and sixth out of eight teams at its home invitational.

The Muhlenberg men's golf team entered two teams and finished tied for third and sixth out of eight teams at its home invitational.

The Mules' score of 318 was their second best of the year as they tune up for this weekend's Centennial Conference Championships.

Senior Aron Gianchandani and freshman Ryan Tasetano led their respective teams, each firing an 8-over par 78 to finish tied for ninth in a field of 43 competitors. Gianchandani (pictured above) drove the 280-yard par-4 fourth and ended up making a birdie, then added another on the par-5 sixth hole. Tasetano birdied the 424-yard par-4 first hole.

Sophomores Charlie Kerprich (79) and Alex McCauley (80) each contributed a birdie on their round. Kerprich birdied the par-4 15th and McCauley made his on the par-4 14th hole. Senior Henry Stoer tied his season low of 81; he had an eagle on the 540-yard sixth hole and added a birdie on the other par 5, hole 11. Junior Joe Repetti recorded his birdie on the par-3 175-yard hole.

Senior Benny Heifetz shot a career-low 82, making par on half of the holes he played in the final round of his collegiate career. Senior Drew Hynes shot a 91, which featured a birdie on the par-4 18th hole.
