Despite getting off to a fast start, the Muhlenberg men's basketball team fell at Franklin & Marshall, 73-45.
The Mules (8-14, 1-9) led 16-10 less than 10 minutes into the game but suffered from cold shooting the rest of the way, netting only 29 more points. The Diplomats (16-6, 8-2), who are tied for second place in the Centennial Conference, led by seven at halftime and shot 53.1 percent in the second half to run away.
Senior Giovanni Rubino led Muhlenberg with 13 points, hitting double figures for the 15th straight game. Senior Luke Gordos came close to his first career double-double, scoring 8 points and matching his career high with 9 rebounds.
