Men's Soccer Back on Winning Track
The Muhlenberg men's soccer team rebounded from its first loss in a month by shutting out Salisbury, 2-0, in its final non-conference game of the season.
Senior Kevin Adams scored both goals in a span of fewer than three minutes of game time. In real time, the goals were nearly 20 minutes apart.
After the Sea Gulls (5-6-2) were called for a hand ball in the box with just three seconds remaining in the first half, Adams converted the penalty kick with a perfect shot just under the crossbar.
The Mules (8-3-3) drew a foul early in the second half, and the two team captains combined on the second goal, with Adams knocking in a free kick from senior Evan Schlotterbeck.
It was the first career multiple-goal game for Adams and the first multiple-goal game by a Muhlenberg player this season.
Muhlenberg's defense allowed only two shots on goal, none in the second half, in recording its seventh shutout of the season.
