The Muhlenberg men's basketball team erased an 11-point second-half deficit but fell at Dickinson, 61-59, on a basket with 1.5 seconds left.

The Mules (8-12, 1-7) trailed 39-28 three minutes into the second half before going on a 9-0 to get back into the game. With less than eight minutes to play, back-to-back baskets by freshman Arinze Achufusi gave Muhlenberg a 50-46 lead.

Dickinson (7-13, 2-6) took a 57-54 advantage in the final minute, but senior Giovanni Rubino hit an elbow jumper while getting fouled with 40.4 seconds remaining. He made the free throw to tie the score.

The teams then traded driving layups, with Rubino tying the score once again with 13.2 ticks on the clock. The Red Devils drove in for a layup on their final possession, and Muhlenberg could only get off a desperation three at the buzzer.

Rubino finished with 28 points, going 10-for-10 from the foul line, to surpass 1500 points for his career. He also pulled down 8 rebounds. Achufusi (pictured above) scored 10 points.
