Richwine Earns Bid to Nationals
Muhlenberg sophomore Maya Richwine earned a bid to the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in the 60-meter hurdles.
The national meet is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 14-15, at the Golisano Training Center on the campus of Nazareth University in Rochester, New York. The prelims for the 60-meter hurdles are scheduled for Friday at 1:45, with the final set to go off Saturday at 3:10.
Richwine tied for the 17th-best time among the 20 national qualifiers, running 8.81 at the Centennial Conference Championships. That time broke the school and meet records, which had stood since 2013 and 2016, respectively.
Richwine earned a silver medal in the hurdles at the CC Championships and added a gold in the 200 meters, setting a school record in that event as well.
Richwine is the first indoor national qualifier for the Mule women's track and field program since 2013. That year, Stephanie Carnevale '14, whose school record Richwine broke, was the 15th and final qualifier in the 60-meter hurdles and earned All-America honors by finishing seventh.
