Despite hitting two home runs, the Muhlenberg baseball team fell at Haverford, 9-5.
The Mules were trailing 3-1 in the fourth when freshman Marc Quarrie hit a one-out double. One out later, freshman Spencer Hobson delivered an RBI single, and the next batter, senior Jonathan Toth, hit a two-run homer to put Muhlenberg in the lead. It was the 15th career home run for Toth.
Junior Brendan Hughes (pictured above) hit his sixth career home run in the next inning to make it 5-3, but the Fords plated two runs in each of their last three at-bats to come back for the win.
Freshman Luke Foley pitched a solid five innings, ending the third and fifth by striking out hitters with a runner in scoring position.
